Project Overview

We focused on bringing the brand's identity to life on Shopify, replacing a cobbled-together POS and online ordering system built around the hospitality software Abacus. By implementing Shopify and integrating its native POS, we unified the business under a single platform, creating a streamlined experience for both customers and staff. The goal was to deliver a seamless, user-first experience that accurately reflected the in-store brand while improving usability, performance and scalability. Working closely with stakeholders, we defined key objectives around customer experience, visual design and functionality, delivering a modern eCommerce platform that provides a solid foundation for future growth.

Design & Frontend Approach

With the project strategy established, we moved into the design and development phase. Our UX process began with wireframes that mapped the customer journey, navigation and ordering experience, ensuring every interaction was intuitive across both desktop and mobile. Once the user flows were validated, we designed a refined interface in Figma that captured the brand's in-store personality while prioritising usability, accessibility and conversion. The approved designs then formed the foundation for a high-performing Shopify build, complete with native POS integration and a streamlined ordering experience.

Highly Responsive

Performance was a key consideration throughout the project. Built with a mobile-first approach, the Shopify store delivers a seamless experience across desktop, tablet and mobile, ensuring customers can browse, order and checkout effortlessly on any device. Every page was carefully optimised for speed, usability and accessibility, with responsive layouts, streamlined code and performance enhancements to reduce load times and improve the overall shopping experience. Extensive testing across modern browsers and devices ensured consistency and reliability at every touchpoint. The result is a fast, intuitive eCommerce experience that reflects the brand while providing a scalable platform for future growth.
